LOS ANGELES
SANTA MONICA - MALIBU - SILVER LAKE - VENICE - THE OC - IRVING - SANTA BARBARA - SAN DIEGO - SAN FRANCISCO

Multiple Trips
I've been to LA and California multiple times over time. Since I've been to New York since I was a child and made my way in Chicago, LA was logically next on the list.

Santa Monica
During my spiritual awakening, I reconnected with a friend from New York who went to SAIC. I coached her while I was in Korea for free to get experience for my first sales page. She also visited me here and also tried to copy me and was jealous. She got into witchcraft in LA and the baphomet.
She stayed with me at my cousin's husband's friend's house, because of another miscommunication. We went hiking, to Malibu with my cousin's husband's sister on 4/20, and to the NBC studio for the Late Late Show. We were backstage, and she worked for Netflix. There's also drama there.

Women fall in love with me. It's not reciprocated like that on my end. They also get jealous of my life, relationships, and accomplishments. I'm actually not rude...

The Coastal Tour
I was coaching a local client and made her famous. She was a friend of a client who was mentally unstable and jealous of me. They're both lesbian for me, and they want my life and all that like all the rest... Are we seeing racial trends here?

We did a full tour of the coast, because I was thinking of moving there. She wanted to move there to live with me. I had people that wanted to see me, and she had a videoshoot scheduled for a pilates franchise. I taught her how to manifest, and we were each other's photographers. The other "influencers" here are sell-outs. That's why they have blue checkmarks.

She wanted a blue checkmark. She got one and a husband in addition to a profitable business plan, branded website, and subscription platform. We grew apart after that trip...

Couples Trip
I think California is cursed to be honest. My boyfriend, at the time, who I chose to stay in Chicago for instead of moving to Beavercreek, OR to work at Nike as Community Coordinator, and I went to San Francisco. He said he had never travelled with a significant other before. I was his first. I couldn't say the same to him, but I was postively enthusiastic about the anticipation.
We both had friends there.and saw them. We both loved the weather, the food, and legalized recreational activities. My friend got us candies, cookies, and what-nots. His friends met us at a show and a park. There was a fight that randomly broke out in the park, and the show was in the venue by the city square with the government buildings. We were both into streetwear and athleisure. We liked the MoMa and went to Lemonade.

Orange County
A Blur
I do not really remember the OC, but we drove through it and stayed there for a night, I think. I remember the soft hills and white houses. Passing through there, is that what they mean by Intersection Politics? Pedestrians and hotels and cars?

Is this where I went to the coffee shop when my client did her video shoot? I really liked that coffee shop. There was a cute boutique with all of the "boujee" and "artsy" crafts, knick knacks, tchotchkes, and ephemera that we both enjoy. Shopping, food, and fitness are usually the shared interests.
Venice
The Skates
I like Venice. I like the restaurants and the beach. You can walk by the canals like Italy. It feels like Jersey or a pier. There are street vendors, bodybuilders, and skateboarders. We took pictures, got Blue Majik smoothie bowls, lattes, and took pictures. Walking along the beach felt safe. It's so public, and there are houses all along the way. What didn't feel safe is on one visit, we went to a bar. My friend/client and her friend were chatting while another male walked up to me. He asked if he could buy me a drink. He said that he had been watching me from across the room. We went outside to smoke, and he offered to smoke me up with his friends...
He told me that I should stay, and he would pay for my flight change. I said no. I have a dog and responsibilities to get back to. Then he started acting shifty, and he went back to the car. His four friends popped out of nowhere, got into the car, and drove away. I told my friend when I went back inside. I think her friend liked me, so he was probably stalking me through her like her other exes and friends and what nots.
Santa Monica
Ice Cream
Santa Monica is the main boulevard that links to the interstate. One visit, we went to Malibu, Abbott Kinney, Sugar Fish, NBC Studios, an Amazon party, and many other places. I've always liked to thrift and like streetwear. That's where I got my vintage Michael Jordan, Chicago Bulls T-Shirt. We went to some vegetarian restaurants, had sushi, and had some weird encounters.

On 4/20, we were driving down the blvd... a blue truck pulled up next to us at a red light. There was a white male with sunglasses hanging out the window hollering at us. The other friend in the back threw weed through the windows at Rachel. She was laughing. I had a box of strawberries on my lap from a roadside stop in the hills and mountains of Malibu. He made me say hi to him. I had on that dress...

LA Parties
Not There For The Nightlife
I don't go to parties in LA, because I know the Hills have eyes. So, I don't go there or put myself in those positions for those kinds of opportunities. We went to a large Amazon promo-party for The Amazing Miss Maisel. That was after a stand-up comedy show. We had fun and got our hair braided. The spreads were insane, and it was in a warehouse loft building with multiple stories and multiples activity areas.

We went backstage at the NBC studios and on the roof. We met Reggie and saw the interviewee. We played basketball on the roof, and I took a picture with the turtle spaceship mural by a school where we parked. Then Hailey and Kendall were on the Late Late show. We were in that parking lot too!
LA Food Week
That Restaurant
I've been to Chicago Food Week with Luca. I've been to the Kraft Food Festival in the Loop. We didn't plan for the dates to coincide, but it did. My friend had a friend who wanted to meet up, so we went to dinner at a posh hole in the wall. I liked the dessert the most. I'm usually a matchmaker, so they ended up dating after.
She moved cross-country for him, and he drove. That happened with a different couple I matched in college. I launched her career in LA. LA is not for me. I'm a good coach though. People are always just jealous of me. That trip, I was into hard candies and mini-joints.
Culver City
The Shopping Center
Who knows the muralist with the black and white distorted patterns and rainbows? So, LA has that. We have the LOVE murals that is graffiti-style. Culver City is where the magic happens. That's where the filming studios and all that jazz is. We had really good tacos and breakfast burritos. Both of us are eaters. We met at a house party in college on the 4th of July and were hogsalt loyal.

Walking around the shops and stores is nice. It's open-layout, clean, and modern. They have a Sweet Greens there. Comfort food. I always thought Culver's was from Wisconsin.

San Diego
The Wedding
In 2015 or 2016, there was a wedding. My cousin got married there after I helped her get out of a sugar daddy situation in Austin post-SXSW. They were really nice to me insofar as he let us stay in his house; and they let us go into the GOOD Music warehouse show, because there were so many people that showed up. I got to party with the models at 21 and do all of that free swag VIP stuff. 5th street is the golf cart party street with all of the open bars and shenanigans. I always feel awkward being social and partying with family members, but I show up. Who else is going to?

I almost didn't go to the bachelorette party in Tulum, because I wasn't sure. I had a mixed gut feeling, and I was in design school. Ultimately, obligation overrode my intuition, so I did my duty and showed up for pictures and general peace. There's always a level of tension when there are a lot of female personalities together under one roof.

We had a good time there. We played Cards Against Humanity. We did Madlibs. She taught us how to twerk. I was the photographer for their racier pictures, because I didn't want to participate in those. That's weird for me.

The wedding was at a beautiful raw venue overlooking the water. There is a pink hotel that is fancy there. It's not like the Don Cesar, even though I haven't been in there. I've been invited to the pool though. They can hate me, but I'm not Mexican cartel. They went to Panama to shoot a fake reality TV show that never aired. Then they moved to NYC to dance and model. They worked as servers at Hawaiian Tropic in the Square We all went there to see them. I went there on my own as well. I went to a summer program at Columbia University the summer of Junior year. My bestie from Zurich went with me, and my gay uncles got us Broadway tickets.
San Francisco
The Couple's Trip
So, it was his first trip with a significant other. We went from Chicago to San Francisco to see friends, explore the city, and experience the cultural offerings - music, art, and fashion. I like the coffee culture there, and we are fine with public transportation. We didn't have a car for that trip, which is actually probably a good thing in retrospect, since crossing the red bridge most likely means something that I don't want or agree with. However, we did take a picture there. We went thrifting, and I got my red collared apple fleece. It looks vintage y2k with a little white apple on the left sleeve, like some type of internal apparel for corporate employees. That was a score to both us. Luckily, he couldn't fit in it. Mine!

We stayed in the Mission District and went to that bakery with that sourdough and those pastries. We walked up and down all of the huge hills and rode the trolley. It was "romantic". We didn't have any type of physical romance on that trip. I think California is cursed. Bad things always happen there.

We broke up, because he cheated on me after I went on a girls trip with Marcy to Bellingham to visit her brother and his fiancee. Washington is like Michigan in my mind...
Santa Barbara
The Lemon Trees
In Santa Barbara, we went to the beach. There is a really cool coffee shop and restaurant there that's pretty central and noticeable. We went there and had a lovely breakfast al fresco. I went inside to get coffees to-go for us and realized that my bag was missing. Then I go back outside stressed and a young man gave me my bag back. Luckily, they noticed us, so they could give it back. When I'm in California, my second stop is a dispensary after In-N-Out. Those are my priorities. Gas. Burger. Weed.

It's a residential feel with a sleepy-coastal town vibe...

Other Places
Some other places we passed through includes the following, except for Santa Cruz. That was one of my pandemic online baes who I met in Orlando. He works as a high-level events coordinator and manager for entities like ESPN, Apple, and more. I considered the Study of Consciousness PhD that's only offered there. He said I should move out there, but his neighbor was an old man above him. While the appeal of the beach is tempting, I'm not sure about surfers and Nicaragua excursions with the boys...
CALI TAKEAWAYS
AT A GLANCE
The Vibe
California is the sunny, paradise of bronzed bikini beauties and slick surfers under the banner of the Hollywood sign. There's many tourists and residents that filter in and out and around the city for various lines of work and professions. It's a sunny city with beaches that are empty a lot of the times. The Santa Monica Pier has the typical tourist attractions. A man with a large speaker approached us and blasted "Teach Me How To Dougie" on one trip. We walked away...
The People
What is an LA lunch...
Never gonna happen. So LA is one of those places where people think I'm a native. I've never lived there. They follow me like a mf though. The municipal tickets, CCTV, and any type of municipal city paperwork from the Griffith Observatory or main streets... California is more like Mexico and Russia spies and trafficking with plastic surgery and pretentious personalities for personal profits.
The Traffic
One time when my friend was driving the rental Prius, there was a really weird like almost accident where a car swung out at a weird intersection by the mall where it was hard to tell like when to go and which way. I think we were going to Trader Joe's for snacks.
The Highlights
My favorite thing about California is the sunset. The sun is so bright there, and it's a drier climate compared to Southern humidity and oppression. I physically feel really good there with the geomagnetic and thermal energies. I do not feel like that here except for at the beach.
